About Us

Starting out as a take aways, we then opened the restaurant in November 1991.

Chandbibi was then joined by her husband, Noorodien Brey. He brought a sense of passion to the food, while Chandbibi brought the creativity to the sweet side of the business. One of her grandest achievements was winning 1st prize in a national baking competition, for a 3D Taj Mahal wedding cake back in 1987.

It was during Noorodien’s time experimenting in the kitchen, that he came up with 2 of our most famous dishes, The Prawn Chaat and The Chicken Shahi. These 2 dishes prove to be favourites with visitors from across the globe.
